Remembering

An
impromptu memorial of flowers, candles, and candy adorn the sidewalk
in front of the Capitol Hill house where six people — ranging in
age from 14 to 32 — were slain in the early hours of March 25.
The gunman had attended an after-hours party with the victims, then left,
only to return minutes later with a shotgun and handgun. When confronted
by police at the scene, the gunman killed himself. The killings, while
making national news, have many Seattle residents asking the same question
that those in other cities have asked when random violence has struck
close to home: Why? Photo by Katia Roberts. |
