Political shock jock Alex Jones appeared in Seattle for a series of man-on-the-street interviews and got a taste of local culture for his trouble.
The infamous internet-yeller strolled through the city, stopping passersby to interrogate them about a “best of” list of conspiracy theories he has touted during his multihour broadcasts that can be best described as performance art infomercials.
A clip popularized by comedian John Oliver shows a red-faced Jones screaming about how chemicals in the water are “turning the frogs gay,” but the sexual preferences of amphibians are a mere warm-up to Jones’ more pernicious fare. He also spins yarns about how nasa falsified video of the moon landing, believes the brutal murder of children at Sandy Hook Elementary School never happened and promoted the #Pizzagate story about a child prostitution ring run by a then Hillary Clinton staffer. Viewers are encouraged to buy his products to keep the show going.
Jones likely knew he was entering enemy territory when he arrived in socialist Seattle, but seemed surprised when one local removed the lid of his coffee cup and sent the contents flying into Jones’ face.
It’s good he’s not a liberal snowflake, or he might have melted. As it was, he just had a meltdown.
