Looks like the governor, too, plans to move Nickelsville along — by July 6, the Seattle PostGlobe reported Friday.

That’s according to Ron Judd, a senior policy aide of the governor’s who has been negotiating with the tent city’s representatives at the Church Council of Greater Seattle since shortly after June 6. That’s when the encampment — which is named for Mayor Greg Nickels and his policy of clearing the homeless from public land — moved back to the state-owned lot off West Marginal Way where it originally set up in September.

The Nickelodeons say they have a right to stay, but plan to respect the governor’s wishes and go — but July 6 is just too soon. They are calling on the governor for more time to find a new site after a memorial vigil that Women in Black is holding for six recently deceased homeless people Wed. July 1 at noon at Seattle’s City Hall.
