No thanks to us.

With its detailed profiles of candidates for Mayor and City Council, Real Change’s primary-election candidates’ guide [Aug. 12-18] sold like hotcakes. But we made one major, unintentional goof: we omitted an article about City Council contender Mike O’Brien.

Miraculously, our omission seems not to have killed the political career of the financial manager and Sierra Club activist; he won the most votes of any candidate for Position 8 and now heads to the Nov. 3 general election.

My apologies to O’Brien and to contributing writer Arnold Seong, who had crafted a fine piece on O’Brien’s positions. Read it by going to our blog.
