Thurs., Sept. 4, 9:44 p.m., Queen Anne Ave N. Officers responded to a 911 call of suspicious activity — two males had been observed jumping a fence and were thought to be tagging a billboard. Upon arrival officers contacted suspects, a transient white male aged 31, and another male, making camp for the night. After getting their IDs officers discovered that suspect had an outstanding warrant. The warrant was verified, and suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.

Thurs., Sept. 4, 11:42 p.m., Second Ave., ‘Sinking Ship’ Garage. Suspect, a transient Black female aged 39, was seen by officers going through bags of her belongings at the bottom of the stairs of the “Sinking Ship’ garage. The garage is clearly posted with “No Trespassing” and “No Loitering” signs. Suspect has no vehicle, and had no reason to be in the garage. Officer contacted her for trespassing, and a name check showed a previous trespass admonishment from the same location. Suspect was arrested, transported to the precinct, and placed into a holding cell. Officer was unable to locate the previous trespass card at the precinct — he completed a new card, had the suspect sign it, and released her from the precinct.

Fri., Sept. 5, 2:27 p.m., Western Ave., Victor Steinbrueck Park. On this date officers were patrolling Victor Steinbrueck Park and observed the suspect, a transient white female aged 46, sitting on a bench. Sitting at her feet was a full, open can of Budweiser beer. Officers contacted suspect, and a name check revealed an outstanding warrant. She was arrested and booked into King County Jail.

Fri., Sept. 5, 9:06 p.m., 600 block 12th Ave. Officer observed suspect, a transient Black male aged 47, urinating in public on the east side of the street. A routine name check showed an outstanding warrant. This was verified, and suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.

Sun., Sept. 7, 4:38 p.m., First Ave. S. Officers responded to a call of an assault on First Ave. They arrived to find victim, a transient white male aged 48, with a bloody nose and face. He said that a woman he knows had hit him in the face with a six-pack of beer in a bag. Officers contacted a nearby witness, who stated that he had seen victim and suspect arguing over a pack of cigarettes. When victim confronted suspect she swung the bag and struck him in the nose. Victim described the suspect as a “large Native American woman with a tattoo.” Based on this description officers were able to locate the suspect at her camp under the Alaskan Viaduct. She was identified by witnesses as the person who assaulted the victim, and she was arrested and booked into king County Jail. Victim suffered swelling and bleeding to his nose and face, and was treated at the scene by Seattle Fire Department.
