Sun., Aug. 31, 6:06 p.m., S. Main St. Officers were dispatched to the Bread of Life mission on S. Main St. on a report that a person had been struck in the head with a hammer. Upon arrival victim, a transient white male aged 49, approached officer bleeding from the head. He calmly related that he was sitting on the steps on S. Main St. eating his meal. The suspect approached him and asked him for some French fries. Victim stated he offered suspect, an unknown male aged 30-40, his food, but suspect suddenly became agitated, reached into a white bag, removed a hammer and started swinging the tool. Victim was struck on the top of his head. Suspect then fled northbound though the alley — an area search was negative. Victim stated he had not lost consciousness, and an ambulance arrived and took him to Harborview for medical attention.

Wed., Sept. 3, 2:45 p.m., Rainier Ave./ S. Othello St. Officer recognized suspect, a transient Black female aged 40, as she was standing at a bus shelter on Rainier Ave and S. Othello St. He knew that she had an outstanding warrant, and contacted and detained her. The warrant was verified, and subject was arrested and booked into King County Jail.

Wed., Sept. 3, 2:52 p.m., Second Ave./ Blanchard St. Suspect, a transient Black male aged 44, was on the west side of the sidewalk talking with a known drug user when he was spotted by police. As officers approached, suspect began to walk away in the other direction. He was stopped for possible narcotics activity, and admitted to officers he was active with the Department of Corrections (DOC) Suspect also stated he had just been released from jail. His breath smelled of alcohol. Officers contacted the DOC, and they advised that suspect should be taken into custody for DOC violations. Suspect was arrested and transferred to DOC custody.

Wed., Sept. 3, 9:41 p.m., Fourth Ave. S. While working uniformed patrol, officer had an unobstructed view of suspect, a transient Native American male aged 47, illegally crossing Fourth Ave. in the 2200 block. Officer contacted suspect and advised him he was being stopped for a traffic violation. A records check revealed an outstanding warrant. This was verified, and suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.

Fri., Sept. 5, 2:27 p.m., Western Ave., Victor Steinbrueck Park.
Officers were patrolling Victor Steinbrueck Park when they observed suspect, a transient white female aged 46, sitting on a bench. Sitting at her feet was a full, open 16 oz. can of Budweiser beer. She was contacted and arrested, and booked into King County Jail.

Fri., Sept. 5, 9:06 p.m., 12th Ave. A transient Black male aged 48 was contacted by officers for urinating in public. A routine name check showed an outstanding warrant, which was verified by radio. Suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
