Put money in your pocket this week by becoming a new Real Change vendor. 

New vendor orientation is held twice a week, on Monday and Friday mornings at 10AM.  Those wishing to attend should be at the Real Change office by 10:00AM to sign a code-of-conduct and receive their badge after completing the orientation.  Vendors who used to sell the Real Change paper, but have been inactive for more than six months are required to attend a new orientation to reactivate themselves.  No ID is necessary, and Real Change vendors do not require any kind of license beyond a Real Change badge to sell the paper in the Seattle area. 

At orientation, you will receive 10 free papers, with a retail value of $1 each.  Once you have sold those papers, you are on your way.  You can come back to the office and purchase additional papers to sell and earn your own income.  Real Change vendors buy the paper for $0.35 per copy, and sell it in the community for $1.

There is no requirement for how often you must work or how many papers you must sell.  It is up to each vendor to determine how much he/she intends to work.

It is mostly up to the vendor to decide where to sell the paper, so long as the vendor abides by our “turf” policy for reserved selling locations and by our first-come-first-serve rule.

Additional training and support opportunities, such as skill building classes, use of the Real Change address to receive mail, and resource referrals are available to all Real Change vendors.
