Wed., Nov. 26, Sixth Ave./John St. Victim, a transient white female aged 29, is an admitted prostitute. She states she was recently attacked by four unknown males in the area of Sixth and John. She could not provide an exact date, but reported this had happened at night, and very recently. Victim reports that there have been several robberies or attempted robberies of prostitutes in the Denny Park and Seattle Center area. The men will usually wait in a car, assault the victim, and take what money they can. Victim reported that the suspects unsuccessfully attempted to remove her pants, but she managed to get away without serious injury. She described the four men involved, and stated that they have been known to carry knives. She was given a case number.
Thurs., Nov. 27, 10:11 p.m., Bell St. Officers on patrol spotted the suspect, a transient Black male aged 42, standing on the corner of Third and Bell. They recognized the man from previous encounters, and knew him to be active with the Department of Corrections (DOC). Officers stopped the suspect and ran a name check, discovering an outstanding warrant. The warrant was verified, and suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
Thurs., Nov. 27, 12:09 a.m., Flora Ave. S. Complainant called 911 to report property damage done to his garden. The homeowner stated he had detained the subject, a transient white male aged 20, after finding him pulling slats off his white picket fence. Complainant immediately explained that he didn't care about the fence, the damage was minimal, but he wanted to get help for the subject. Officers arrived and contacted the subject, who was extremely upset, crying and shaking. He admitted to be on drugs, and stated he was "freaking out." Further interview revealed that the subject had recently tried to commit suicide by hanging himself. A check of his arms revealed 20-30 cuts on his left forearm, which he stated were self inflicted. Subject was extremely disoriented, and it was clear he could not care for himself. Subject stated that he is schizophrenic and bipolar, and admitted he had not been taking his medications. He is currently transient, and his last known address was in California. An ambulance responded to the scene and transported the subject to Harborview for medical evaluation.
Thurs., Nov. 27,. 12:46 a.m., MLK Jr. Way S./S. Hanford St. Officers were dispatched to the above location on the report of a disturbance. An unidentified complainant called 911 to report that a male, later identified as subject, was acting threateningly to passersby, possibly with a screwdriver. On arrival officers contacted the subject, a transient Black male aged 55, who appeared agitated. He was placed into handcuffs without incident, and calmed down. He explained that he was angry because it was Thanksgiving and he had no one to celebrate with. He appeared to have some mental issues. He agreed to leave the area, and was released from the handcuffs and left without incident.
Mon., Dec. 1, 1:53 p.m., Second Ave. Suspect, a transient white female aged 37, was observed by officers walking on Second Ave. S. She was known to officers from previous encounters, and a name check revealed an outstanding warrant. Suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
