The city of Seattle is offering help to homeowners having trouble paying their mortgages in a free workshop planned this Friday. HUD-certified mortgage counselors will be on hand to discuss loan modifications and refinancing, as will representatives of Bank of America, Wells Fargo, GMAC, Chase/WaMu, Ocwen, Freddie Mac and American Home Mortgage.
The workshop takes places July 24, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Cleveland High School, 5511 15th Ave. S., on Beacon Hill.
