There is a pull-out poster on the center spread of this week's paper. It is an advertisement that, like each of our ads, will help fund advocacy, direct services and journalism. We hope these pages will also help our vendors sell the paper with another product they can hold up: a vibrant illustration by LMNOPI of Roxanne White, who is an activist with the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women organization. The poster is part of a political art series by nonprofits Nia Tero, Amplifier and IllumiNative to elevate Indigenous land stewardship, encouraging people to make themselves heard. In the Oct. 28 newspaper, we will have a second poster and a story about the campaign.
