Support tax relief that helps hunger relief
- Issue: Ninety-six billion pounds of food go to waste each year in the United States, in part because small businesses like farms and grocery stores don't have the financial means to donate it all to non-profit charities. The Hunger Relief Tax Incentive Act would amend the law to encourage businesses to donate the excess food and help feed some of the 31 million Americans who go hungry or are at risk of hunger every day.
