- Picture: Over 290 people marked the one-year anniversary of the anti-globalization WTO protests with a march to file claims against the city for damages incurred and rights infringed. Dee Quiggle, the city legal office’s claims processor, say an outside agency has begun the review process. Above is what The Civil Tongue, the internal newsletter of the city attorney’s office, had to say about the legal filings in its December 4, 2000 issue. “Whoever wrote that is showing a sense of humor,” said Quiggle. Isn’t it great to see government taking citizens’ complaints seriously?
