Mark your calendars, because the place to be this October 24 is the Real Change annual breakfast, celebrating 13 years of taking risks and building power. The annual event is when our community makes its support visible, and our goal this year is to get 500 of our closest friends to the downtown Westin for some eggs, juice, and morning inspiration.
This year, we will be joined by Cecile Andrews, whose new book Slow Is Beautiful: New Visions of Community, Leisure and Joie de Vivre calls us to build engaged community as a path to authentic social change. Movement building, she says, is about taking the time to connect to others and ourselves. Our June 6 interview with Cecile may be found in the realchangenews.org archives.
Real Change does a whole lot of important work without an awful lot of money. Friends like you make what we do possible. Please show your support this year by coming out for an inspiring celebration of community and 13 years of Real Change.
