Wed., Oct. 17, 6:38 p.m., 300 Block Bell St. A transient white male aged 50 was contacted for suspected drug loitering. A records check showed that he was active with the Department of Corrections (DOC). Officers contacted the suspect’s DOC officer, and were advised to arrest the man for failing to report. He was transported to the West Precinct and turned over to the DOC to be placed on a work crew.
Mon., Oct. 22, 1:07 p.m., 1550 Block Alaskan Way. Officers on bike patrol for the Metropolitan Improvement District (MID) observed and contacted a transient white male aged 44 for possessing and consuming a container of alcohol in a park. Upon running the suspect’s name, officers found he was active with DOC, and had an outstanding warrant. His DOC officer found the suspect to be in violation of his probation, and the warrant was verified. Suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
Mon., Oct. 22, 8:36 p.m., 2500 block Aurora Ave. Witness, a crane driver, called 911 to report that subject was standing in the middle of the Aurora Bridge. He stated the subject — a transient white male aged 23 — seemed to be “hovering” and also seemed to be praying. Officers responded to the scene and observed the subject walking towards the north end of the bridge. They allowed him to keep walking until he reached the end of the bridge, and then they contacted him. Subject told officers that he was feeling suicidal, and voluntarily went to Harborview Medical Center via ambulance.
Mon., Oct. 22, 8:22 p.m., Occidental Ave. An officer responded to a call of a disturbance on Occidental Ave. between the complainant, a security guard, and the suspect, a transient white female aged 48. Complainant was walking between the two businesses he is responsible for, located on Occidental Ave. He encountered the suspect, pushing her shopping cart, and she stopped to talk to him. She asked if he wanted to buy any pills, and he said “No” and told her to leave. She got angry and threw a water bottle at him. Complainant called 911 and attempted to detain the woman, but she managed to walk away. Officer arrived and spoke to both subjects — the complainant said he was upset because his shirt got wet, but did not want the suspect to go to jail. Both parties were separated, and the suspect was told to leave the area and not come back to the park for seven days.
Mon., Oct. 22, 10:30 p.m. Third Ave. and Yesler Way. Officers observed the suspect, a transient white male aged 42, walking through the area of Third and Yesler. They were aware that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, and contacted him and put him under arrest. The warrant was later verified, and the suspect was booked into King County Jail.
