Thurs., July 23rd, 3:09 p.m., Occidental Park, S. Washington St. Officers contacted suspect, a transient black male aged 45 on S. Washington St after seeing him inside Occidental Park. They had prior knowledge that suspect was trespassed from all Zone 4 parks for a period of one year. Suspect had been trespassed in July 2009. He was arrested and booked into King County Jail for trespass.
Fri., July 24th,. 1:28 a.m., N. 54th St/Green Lake Way N. Officer on patrol saw subject, a transient white male aged 44 walk behind him. When officer contacted him he saw he had a belt tied around his neck. Subject stated he was planning on hanging himself. He was intoxicated and very depressed, and stated people were mean to him because he was gay. Officer called an ambulance, and subject was transported to UW Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Fri., July 24th, 8:08 a.m., Bartell Drugs, Fifth Ave. Security guards working for Bartell Drugs called 911 in regards to a shoplifter. Police arrived, and the security guards stated they had observed the suspect, a transient black female aged 24 select a bagel, and leave the store without paying for it. Suspect was escorted back inside the store, and there was a struggle. She refused to identify herself, which is when 911 were called. Officers contacted the suspect, and took her into custody. She complained of an injury to her left cheek, which was treated by Seattle Fire. She was then booked into King County Jail. The bagel, worth $2.39, was recovered at the scene.
Sat., July 25th,. 1:38 p.m., 800 block King Street. Suspect, a transient black male aged 35 was spotted by officers wrapped in a blanket, sleeping on Washington State Department of Transportation property in the 800 block of King St. The area is clearly posted "No Trespassing." Officers woke him up and recognized him as a person who has been trespassed from this area previously. He was re-trespassed from the area, arrested and booked into King County Jail.
Sun., July 26th,. 1:47 a.m., Gilman Park, NW 52nd St. Officer had just assisted several other police units in removing a group of drinkers from the park, which was closed due to the time of night. As he was leaving he noticed two people sleeping next to each other in a corner. They were identified as a transient white female aged 52 and a transient Hispanic male aged 53. Officer woke both subjects and obtained identification. He ran both names via car computer and found that the female had a no-contact order out against the male. This was verified, and the male subject was arrested and booked into King County Jail for violation of the no-contact order.
