Dear Editor: Thank you for your timely and necessary article, "Ending modern slavery" about the scourge and scandal of human trafficking.
You and readers may like to know that there is a monthly silent vigil at Westlake Park downtown, organized mostly by nuns, whose purpose is to raise awareness and pray for an end to human trafficking.
This vigil, with leafletting, takes place only on the first Sunday of each month, from 1:30 to 2 p.m., at Westlake Park. All are welcome to come stand with the Sisters. More info at: Intercommunity Peace and Justice Center, http://[email protected] or 206-223-1138.
