Regarding the high number of homeless persons here, I have spoken to quite a few on-the-street dwellers recently and been told they often come from other cities because those cities do not have and/or don’t make any effort to have services and programs to assist the homeless, and that they had heard that Seattle does have such programs and services.
I don’t know what portion of our local homeless are here from out of town, but it may be more than we tend to be aware of.
Thanks for a very useful and informative publication.
