Tusitala “Tiny” Toese, a leader of the Proud Boys, was shot in the foot about a mile away from the Washington Capitol, Sept. 4. There are conflicting reports about who shot him. Toese
was transported to a nearby hospital; the injuries were not life-threatening. The Proud Boys are designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The group is commonly
seen around Portland, Oregon, and was allegedly in Olympia to join an anti-mandate protest scheduled for that afternoon. Find the full story and more photos in Real Change Sept. 15.
