Each year, two Real Change vendors are honored as Vendors of the Year as part of our anniversary celebration. Last year’s winners, Debbie Nichols and Rose Gascon, were featured on a cover with hand-drawn portraits by Real Change volunteer and local artist and author Lara Kaminoff. Vendors are nominated by Real Change staff, volunteers, readers and their fellow vendors. The final pick is selected by vendors.
Has your vendor made you a regular Real Change reader? Have you grown a relationship with them? Has their commitment and dedication impressed you? Has your vendor demonstrated a commitment to Real Change and its values? Or has any other positive interaction with a Real Change vendor stood out to you in a way that you’d like to recognize? Consider nominating your vendor for Vendor of the Year!
If selected, a Vendor of the Year receives free papers, a gift bag and recognition from everyone at Real Change. They also benefit from increased sales the week they’re featured, so by helping your vendor win this honor, you’re also helping ensure their success.
To the right are some of the specific qualifications for Vendor the Year, but if you feel your vendor has gone above and beyond in any way, please nominate them!
Send an email to Rebecca Marriott, director of Real Change’s Vendor Program, with your name and the name and badge number of the vendor you’re nominating, along with whatever relevant information about their nomination you’d like to include. The Vendor Committee will choose the winning Vendors of the Year in late August, to be announced in mid September.
Thank you to all Real Change readers, volunteers and supporters!
