My name is Willie McIntyre aka BiGG WiLL. I’m a 21 year old local artist/muralist who was born and raised in Seattle. I decided to name my art piece “A mission to Mount Rainier” because it’s a motivational piece of art that helps remind me that I can conquer anything, all while keeping faith and a vision to achieve my goals. My hope is that “A mission to Mount Rainier” could help motivate, inspire or encourage someone else to want to conquer their own mountain.
I decided to create this work of art to keep myself motivated and to remind myself it gets better when you make it to the top no matter how scary, large and challenging your mountain can be — just have faith and believe that you can keep climbing. The more confidence you build into yourself, the more you will stop concentrating on climbing and you start to levitate to the top. We are giants!
Crafting “A mission to Mount Rainier” made me feel like I stamped a starting line for my own marathon — that hussle that inspired me to set for myself. The mountain is all my challenges in life that I’m facing as we speak. The finish line is where I’ve met all my achievements. Once I get to the top I want to be able to help encourage others to climb their mountain so we can share our view and mission. If you can see it, just know it is possible to achieve it.
