The ballot listed 15 candidates for mayor of Seattle. According to Seattle’s Ethics and Elections Commission, which reports even on withdrawn candidates, only six got over $100,000 in contributions as of Aug. 1, and 10 received none.
Bruce Harrell raised the most money, according to the commission; his campaign received $493,382 from 3,350 individuals. Colleen Echohawk received the most individual donations, totalling $492,504 from 5,904 individuals. Lorena González’s campaign raised $447,093 from 5,686 people.
For City Council position 8, incumbent Teresa Mosqueda outpaced her competition, receiving $180,603 from 3,347 individuals. Challenger Kate Martin had the next-highest contribution level, at $24,977 from 473 people.
