I must admit as a student of creative writing I was skeptical. After all, what would it say about people who have studied and struggled with the form for years, if someone more used to the structure of scientific writing than that of the narrative arc could just waltz across genres and write a successful novel?
Seven of E. O. Wilson's 25 books have the word ant or insect in the title. His name is virtually synonymous with myrmecology, the study of ants
