In most of our elections — and especially the presidential elections — everyone knows that either the Democrat or the Republican is going to win. Therefore, everyone thinks that our only two choices are to be clubbed on the head by Republicans or stabbed in the back by Democrats. The funny thing about that is that it is indeed true, but it is true only because everyone believes that it is true. Our two-faced duopoly is inevitable only because everyone believes that it is inevitable. If everyone would simply stop believing that it was inevitable, then it would no longer be inevitable.
As to our recent presidential election, I voted for Jill Stein. I would have literally voted for a cockroach on a Ouija board before I would have voted for either of the thoroughly vile human beings that the two major parties presented to us. While I was utterly horrified that Donald Trump won, at the same time I was thoroughly delighted that Hillary Clinton lost, because the fact is that the Democratic Party is an utterly corrupt and wholly owned subsidiary of the Wall Street War Machine, and Hillary Clinton is the very personification of all that.
Yes, the Democrats are better on some of the social issues that Wall Street doesn’t care about, and they usually allow a few more crumbs to fall from the table of the 1 percent. But the Democrats are almost as bad on corruption, they are almost as bad at seriously bloated military spending at the expense of investing in people, they are just as bad at allowing Wall Street to loot your grandmother’s pension with impunity, and they are just as bad at sponsoring endless imperialist wars. And the Democrats have never met an arms sale to a nasty dictator that they didn’t like. Barack Obama was even worse than George W. Bush when it came to mass murdering women and children with remote-controlled flying robots. Obama even overthrew a popular and freely elected government in Honduras and then replaced it with a criminal gang of mass-murdering fascists.
In addition to all that, the Democrats are even worse than the Republicans on civil liberties, and that is especially problematic because if you lose your civil liberties, then that means that you will soon lose everything else. Obama tried to claim that it was legal for him to murder American citizens without a trial and, indeed, he did just that at least three times that we know of.
I would point out that executing people without a trial is the very definition of a totalitarian police state and that executing people without a trial is still a crime, no matter what Obama says. I would point out that murdering children in foreign countries is a crime, even without the flying robots. I would suggest that the “lesser of two evils” is still evil. I would suggest that the lesser evil merely enables the greater evil. I would suggest that this “lesser of two evils” strategy is exactly what got us into this mess in the first place. And I would suggest that the Democrats aren’t even all that much lesser an evil to begin with.
(At least with the Republicans, what you see is usually more or less what you get — as reprehensible as that may be.)
Bottom line: If you really want to act as an enabler for a criminal gang of psychopathic child killers who are posing as a political party, then I am afraid that you will be doing so without my help and you will be doing it in the face of my determined opposition.
I would suggest that everyone stop enabling their abusers.
